SALSA
Salsa was born in Cuba around the mid-30s-40s and descends musically and mainly from Son, while incorporating important elements of other dances such as Guaracha, Conga, Rumba.
Recently, with the contamination of American and European culture, it has been differentiating in various styles (Puerto Rican, Linea, L.A.).
The common matrix remains the engaging sound, the “hot” rhythm and the cheerful and playful atmosphere.
BACHATA
Bachata is a musical genre originating from the Dominican Republic that gave rise to the homonymous couple dance.
The music has a sweet and melodic sound; the lyrics of the songs always deal with the theme of love in all its nuances.
In recent years, this dance style has gone to differentiate and enrich both musically and choreographically and Bachata Sensual, Fusion and Bachatrap were born.
RUEDA DE CASINO
The rueda de casino is a particular version of the Cuban salsa, danced by several couples who arrange themselves to form a large circle, and where the figures are “called” by the chief rueda.
The rueda is more light-hearted and less technical than the dance in pairs: many figures are in fact jokes, teasing, allusions and various amenities, realized amid the general laughter of all the dancers.
The main feature of the rueda is to constantly change partners during the music: couples are constantly breaking up and reforming, thus giving the possibility to make all men dance with all women.
MAN AND WOMAN GESTURES
If in the salsa and bachata the drawing is the figure, we could then say that the male and female gestures are their color.
The elegance created by the perfect execution of the steps becomes poetry if properly interpreted through emotion, and the different languages of the man’s and woman’s body are perfectly integrated in a single harmony.
RUMBA
The Cuban Rumba is the expression of everyday life brought back to the dance and can be understood as a real “party”.
There are various types of Rumba styles including: Yambù, Guaguancò and Columbia.
Each of these differs in style and music and each represents a state of mind, an attitude, an atmosphere.
Rumba is a party in which everyone participates.
In the world of Salsa, Rumba is used as an interlayer when the couple does not dance embraced to allow for a more effective interpretation of the dance interpretation.
SOCIAL DANCE
Social Dance is a phenomenon of recent times born from the need of the individual to aggregate and have fun on music born precisely for the dance that are characterized by the easy earing and the cheerfulness they transmit.
Technically they are accessible to everyone and fun is guaranteed.
